    Achieving High Standards:

    • Greets all customers promptly, provides timely professional services
    • Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions so as to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner.
    • Recommends related parts that are needed.
    • Provides customer a time estimate for obtaining part(s).
    • Determine competitive selling price.
    • Costs parts on invoice or repair order.
    • Obtains the Ford Parts Counterperson Certification status.

    Working Effectively With Others:

    • Provides technicians with necessary parts with minimal wait time.
    • Coordinates with service department, sales department, body shop and others to ensure that parts requests are met.
    • Assists wherever necessary with coordinating delivery driver routes.
    • Takes initiative to help others as needed.

    Applying the Basics:

    • Records back orders and monitors status of back orders.
    • Uses computer to look up and monitor parts requests.
    • Uses parts catalogs to acquire information on parts and accessories inventory.
    • Maintains tight control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate customer delays.
    • Dispatches parts order to technicians.
    • Places warranty parts in shipping boxes and ensure that they are sent back to Ford.
    • Process purchase orders daily to ensure proper communication with accounts payable.

    Skills and Qualities:

    • Maintains positive working relationship with customers and co-workers.
    • Multi-tasks (e.g., handling multiple phone lines, waiting customers, etc.).


    • 2-3 years in an automotive parts environment preferred.
    • General knowledge of cars, mechanical repairs, and dealership environment.
